Helping the cause is JUCO transfer Ryan Flannigan, a Blinn Junior College outside linebacker that committed to Stoops on Wednesday. He'll be a sophomore this fall and will head directly to Lexington following the season.

Flannigan is the No. 4 JUCO outside linebacker in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Ratings. When playing for Marshall High School (TX), he earned all-district and all-state honors and was ranked as the No. 99 overall prospect in the state.

During his junior and senior years, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Missouri City native combined for 221 tackles, 11 sacks, two fumble recoveries and three defensive touchdowns. He runs a 4.5 40-yard dash.

Flannigan becomes the 11th member of Stoops' recruiting class for 2014.
