Kerry Wood Flips The Double Bird; Matt Murton Does Team Nicknames

The Cubs Were Pretty Entertaining On Saturday
6/29/08

The Cubs didn't come away with a victory on the South Side Saturday afternoon, but they did manage to entertain. I guess because Fox Sports deems reading a lineup card to be too boring, they managed to get Matt Murton to spice it up by throwing in completely random individual nicknames.

Geovany "Possible rookie of the year and starting All-Star game catcher" Soto just rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Absolutely.

And if totally random nicknames being read off by Murton didn't do it for you, Kerry Wood managed get caught on camera giving the viewing audience the unprecedented two-gunned one finger salute.

Hey, whatever works. The man's having himself one damn fine season.

i don't have to watch the murton video to know it was better than the knicks draft pick (don't remember the name, don't care) going thru the mets lineup and then begging for fans to go to knicks games.
