Kevin Durant had a typical rookie debut: nervous moments, many misses and a few brief glimpses of spectacular talent.

The good: Scored 18 points and already appeared to be the Nuggets biggest concern from a defensive standpoint which can explain Damien Wilkins 21 points.

The bad: 7-for-22 shooting

When you consider how miserable Lebron James played last night, this was a fairly decent opening performance from a rookie expected to carry a team on his very first night. He's going to miss a lot of shots (most NBA players do) and shy away from contact for a couple months until he gets comfortable.

I thought he was really, really impressive last night.  For a 19-year old kid with no supporting cast, playing his first NBA game ever, you could just see the potential for him to score  A LOT of points for a very long time.  That blow by past Carmelo was awesome and had the people around me who hadn't seen much of him, very impressed.
