Kevin Durants Hits Game Winner for Sonics In Likely the Last Game Played in Seattle
4/14/08
If this is how Sonics basketball must end in Seattle, Kevin Durant gave the fans an appropriate gift on the way out the door.
A game winning shot to beat the Dallas Mavericks.
The worst Sonics team in history -- in terms of record, goes out a winner.
There's still a lot to be determined this summer, but it's very likely Clay Bennett will be moving the team to Oklahoma City and the fans treated this game as such.

In Section 118, four friends dressed up in striped jail costumes, each holding a different sign: "OKC," "Bennett," "Stern," "$chultz."
"What's being done to Sonics fans is criminal and each one of these is to blame," said Peter White, 29, of Seattle, holding NBA Commissioner David Stern and former Sonics owner Howard Schultz as equally culpable.
Let's hope basketball returns to Seattle as it did with the good fans of Charlotte. I don't like the odds of a long term successful NBA franchise in OKC.
