All the thrill of Week 1 complete with plenty of hard hitting, jacked up moments suffered a somber dose of the cruelty the sport can provide.

Kevin Everett went down on a kickoff return during second half play and hasn't showed any signs of movement since. Everett is currently in emergency surgery, and due to all the quiet on the Bills front I suspect this is a very, very serious injury and operation.

We'll keep you updated.

1	Bob Costas just said he is out of surgery and is in intensive care. It will be 12-24 hours before his status is better known.

2	Being a Bills fan this kinda hits home for me. I'm watching these Monday night games and realizing how violent of a game this is. I played for many years & I still play football, but I never looked at it like this. Football just isn't the same after you have the most precious thing snatched away...your everyday life.
