On October 18, Kevin Love broke his right hand and was expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, Love recently rejoined the Wolves during a four game hiatus; where he practiced with the team behind closed doors
So, when Love made his unexpected debut on Wednesday evening, the Target Center was pleasantly surprised to see him on the court again. Love, of course, did not disappoint. In his first game of the season, K-Love showed no signs of rust and erupted for 34 points and 14 rebounds.
In the first quarter alone, Love scored 16 points and gave the Wolves a 17 point lead heading into half time. Iguodala and the Nuggets, however, would not be denied as they soared back in the second half to beat the Wolves 101-94.
While the Wolves may have lost a game that they probably should have won, Wolves fans now have something to be tremendously thankful for as they enjoy their Thanksgiving dinners – the return of Kevin Love.
