Knicks stop Celtics comeback, win series 4-2

The Celtics are done, but hopefully this chant can live on

May 3, 2013; Boston, MA, USA; New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony (7) drives against Boston Celtics forward/center Kevin Garnett (5) during the second quarter in game six of the first round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs at TD Garden. Mandatory Credit: Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY SportsThe Knicks managed to hold on and take game 6 against the Celtics, finishing off their series and sending the Celtics home for the year.

Celtics fans stayed in it, though, despite seeing the Knicks rush out to a commanding lead early in the game.

The best part was probably when chants of "Honey Nut Cheerios" were booming in the TD Garden, a reference to Kevin Garnett's infamous trash talk about Carmelo Anthony's wife LaLa Vasquez.

In case you missed it, here's the chant:

Celtics backup Jordan Crawford seemed to mention the incident to Carmelo after game 5, and LaLa responded in typical NBA wife fashion:

Apparently "actress" LaLa Vasquez forgets that she's the Jordan Crawford of acting. A D-list reality "star" is hardly in a place to criticize someone who actually made it to the highest level of his profession, no matter who she's married to.

Hopefully that's not the last we'll hear of the "Honey Nut Cheerios" chant. Celtics fans won't be around to do it anymore, but hopefully another team will pick up the mantle.

The chant Celtics fans should've been using is.... 1973 (clap clap clap clap clap). You guys heard 1918 for years, why not return the favor?

Takes a lot of class to talk about another mans wife i don't care what the scenario is , but i would expect no less from boston fans or players. Watching the rest of the playoffs on cable is where they deserved to be !
