The Los Angeles Lakers stars Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace were all asked about what they were planning to do in 2013, and they gave pretty predictable, but encouraging answers.

Kobe said:

"It’s always health. It’s always to stay healthy, my family stay healthy and all of our guys here to stay healthy. When you have your health, really, what is there to complain about?"

That's definitely a sentiment that Lakers fans share already having lost Gasol, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash and Steve Blake or various amounts of time this season.

The Spaniard said his resolution is "Nothing specific. Just continue to do what I’ve been doing and focus on staying loyal to myself and to my values and keeping up the right things that I’m doing."

Since he's been constantly on the trade block, it makes sense that he would just want to improve his worth and skill, especially in light of his recent admissions about his unathleticism due to injury.

Pau also added a tidbit about the Lakers starting fresh in the new year, saying

“We’ll see. I think we finished off the year on a pretty good note, but we want to continue to improve, continue to get stronger as a team and keep doing the things that we’ve been doing and stay healthy. That’s the main thing, that’s one of the things that we wish for is that all our guys stay healthy."

Metta World Peace felt slightly different about starting over, explaining, "That's an excuse. I don't want to make too many excuses. We're not starting fresh. We are who we are right now. Playing better and I like what I see right now. Very encouraged by what I see right now."

He also has no resolution, but will “have fun and enjoy” 2013.

All three players have had a good December, even with MWP moving to the bench. While they don't even need a fresh start, it will be an entertaining rest of the season.
