When Kobe Bryant went down at the end of last season, there was talk that he was done with basketball. Seven months later, he’s been medically cleared to resume all basketball activities.
There’s no timetable for when Kobe will actually return, but he did practice with the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend. The veteran has said that if it were the playoffs today, he’d play, but that he’s taking the time to let his Achilles tendon get better.
Jordan Hill was asked about the Black Mamba and said:
“He looked real good. He was going real hard. I thought he wasn’t going to be able to go that hard but he was really pushing it. And, I know he’s not ready yet but he’s coming along and he should be ready pretty soon.”
Kobe hasn’t had a self-imposed timetable because he doesn’t want to push himself to meet a deadline, so when he’ll return is up to him.
