Want some incredible Kobe Bryant memorabilia? Just talk to his mom, who is selling it off

Blog Photo - Kobe Bryant's mother is trying to sell off his memorabilia It seems like Kobe Bryant's relationship with his mother hasn't always been the greatest situation in the world, so that might be why there's some miscommunication about her selling off some memorabilia from when he was younger.

Apparently, she has been holding on to this stuff for years, and now she has decided that she's tired of paying $1500 per month to keep it in storage, and she wants to sell it off and buy a new house.

The collection includes jerseys from when he was in high school and early in his NBA career, as well as trophies, some of which date all the way back to his middle school days.

Kobe and his lawyers aren't thrilled with how all of this is going down, and it sounds like the situation is pretty tense, according to his lawyer's statement:

"Mr. Bryant's personal property has ended up in the possession of someone who does not lawfully own it. We look forward to resolving this legal matter through the legal system. There will be no further comment at this time."

It definitely sounds like this could get pretty messy between Kobe and his mother.

The solution seems pretty simple, to be honest. If you're Kobe, just give your mom a few hundred thousand for a nice house, take back the memorabilia, and store it somewhere in your own house. I'm sure he has somewhere he could store this stuff. He might even already have a man cave of some sort, and this stuff would fit perfectly in there.

Either way, it should be interesting to see how this shakes out. Either Kobe will get his stuff back somehow, or there will be some pretty amazing pieces of sports history out there, floating around the public.

Reminds me of a little story of a set of parents who for years asked their children to please pick up the things they had left behind.   None of the children ever did.  So...
the parents invited all the children for Christmas.  They were greeted with giants piles of wrapped gifts.
Yup, all the crap they had left.   HAt!

This is hilarious. I do have one question though - why is his mother storing his stuff in the first place? uhm...he's an adult...isn't it time he store his own things? I think my parents gave me until I was 25 to get my ish out.
