LIfe In The Fast Lane

My apologies for the call on the Clippers last night. I overlooked 2 very important aspects of that game: The first was that the Clippers half court offense is really weak. The other was that a slow down, defensive, half court game is what the Grizzlies thrive on. If anything, I should have just let that game slide on by.

Hindsight is 20/20, and it doesn't do us any good to look back for too long. So we move ahead. If you're thirsty for Thusday hoops, today and next week is right up your alley. Lots to get to with all conferences joining the fray today. Let's move and groove.

COLLEGE HOOPS (11-10 ATS/10-11 SU/11-10 TOTALS yesterday and 19-19/22-16/22-16 so far for the week)

BUTTA (1-0 yesterday and 3-0 so far for the week)

1. PARLAY: New Mexico St. (-300) over Idaho and Maryland (-240) over Wake Forest - Maryland is better than Wake, but I can't lay the number with them. The Terps have been far too spotty over the last few weeks. New Mexico St. is on the bubble, they're better than Idaho and I think they come strong today. But this is also a team that can struggle to get numbers like the (-6 1/2) hung on them for this game.

2. Oklahoma St. (-3, O135) 79, Baylor 62

I realize that many of these projections could be real shockers to you. Many were to me. That's okay. Don't panic. The beauty is that we don't have to move if something doesn't look right.

THE NBA (8-3 ATS/9-2 SU/6-5 TOTALS last night and 21-12/22-11/20-13 so far for the week)

I don't have a preference toward either of tonight's games, so I'll just report the numbers as they lay.

ALL THE REST

1. SPURS (-8, U206) 111, Mavs 92

2. BLAZERS (pk, O196) 105, Knicks 96

And away we go! The action has already started in several conferences. Enjoy! I'll talk to you again tomorrow.
