The Knicks and Raptors were believed to be the final destination for Steve Nash’s illustrious career, but the Los Angeles Lakers have snuck in and acquired Nash in a sign-and-trade.  Nash will receive a three-year deal for $25 million, which can be absorbed using the trade exemption from Lamar Odom.
In return, the Suns will receive two 1st round picks in ’13 and ’15 and two 2nd round picks in ’13 and ’14.
It was originally believed that the Suns didn’t want to trade anyone within their division, but Nash is glad that they did. His agent, Billy Duffy said, “He’s ecstatic.  He gets to be close to his children.”
With Steve Nash on board, the Lakers have to be considered one of the favorites once again to win the NBA championship.  They’ve had point guard issues for some time, but Nash will make that all a distant memory with his arrival.

It'll be interesting to see how Kobe adjusts to playing with a dominant ball handler.  Can't wait!

I thought this would have been a good fit for the Lakers last season, Nash I believe still has a lot left in the tank. It is definitely and upgrade for the Lakers. Now the coaching staff has implement a system, that fits Nash's game. He will definitely make everyone around him better including Kobe.
