Here's an odd story early this morning. Interstate police found a black Lamborghini alongside the Edens Expressway in Chicago at 3:15 am that was abandoned by the driver. The twist is that it is registered to Bears' Linebacker Lance Briggs. A few reports are indicating that it's in doubt whether Lance Briggs was driving it at the time. I find that a little hard to believe. For a guy who does a great job of covering up opposing running backs has apparently done a horrible job of covering up an accident and potential inebriation. Briggs is supposed to make a statement at some point this morning. It appears the driver somehow lost control, careened off of the expressway and crashed into a sign post before coming to a stop next to the overpass.
Police say it doesn't appear that anyone was injured during the crash. And they're not sure if Briggs -- or someone else -- was behind the wheel of the luxury Italian sports car.
They're trying to find the 26-year-old Bears star to get more information about what may have happened to the brand new, $350,000 Lamborghini.
