It's somewhat depressing when you get to the age where the majority of pro athletes are younger than you. But on the flip side, there's something awesome about seeing a kid schooling people 6 times his age.
This is a quick TV bit on 7-year-old Landon Shuffet, who's without the question the best young pool player in the world. The kid can hit pretty much any shot you can possibly imagine, and he has some pretty unreal trick shots as well. Watch the one where he pops the dime into a shot glass. That trick should serve him well in college, if he ever decides to go.
Just so you know, Landon's actually now 10, which sort of surprises me. I thought he'd certainly have been killed in some pool hall fight by now after he hustled some gangster out of 50 Gs. But good thing that hasn't happened. I'm sure we'll soon see him on ESPN2 tape-delay at 3:30am in some random pool tournament.
As a side note, it also seems hilarious to me that some people almost seem born to do certain obscure things - like play pool, for example. I wonder if anyone was ever born to scrub toilets clean. Probably, but I hope not.
