I don't think it's a good sign Lane Kiffin has already paid a visit to the hospital and the Raiders have yet to play a regular season game.It's a tough job in Oakland, as evidenced by Al Davis' grim reaper resemblence and impending death. We wish Lane Kiffin all the best.
Perhaps the worst sign for Lane Kiffin is this nugget from Sportsline:Raiders coach Lane Kiffin was hospitalized with a viral infection Monday in Napa, a team spokesman said, and could miss several days of training camp.
Kiffin was taken to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa on Monday morning for treatment. He remained there through the evening under observation undergoing testing to determine what sore of virus he has.
"(Monday) morning when he woke up, from what I understand, he was feeling under the weather," offensive coordinator Greg Knapp said after practice. "Something he's been fighting for the last two or three days. It's just going to be a day-to-day situation."
The Raiders returned to practice Monday and some players weren't even aware Kiffin was absent until they took the field.Quite an impression he's making.
