The Kansas City Star website is reporting that Larry Johnson is now being sued by the woman whom he spit on at a nightclub last month. TWWL noticed that someone in the comments claimed to know the victim, Ashley Stewart, who alleged that LJ spit in her face and threatened to kill her boyfriend.
Johnson's lawyer, Kevin E.J. Regan, is claiming that Stewart is just a gold digger, trying to get her hands on some of LJ's dough.“I have felt all along that this case was being driven by financial motives. The filing of this case proves that to be true.”
Johnson is facing simple assault charges for the incident, and was already suspended by the NFL for violating their personal conduct policy.
The real story, however, isn't LJ. It turns out that the alleged victim was a former swimsuit model for a calendar in 2006 published by the University of Kansas, called Women of KU.
