NBA Triple Threat: Your daily roundup of last night's action in the Association.Cleveland 106 Chicago 97
The Bulls were actually in control of this game going into the 4th quarter with a lead. That was until King James took over. James scored the first 8 points of the fourth quarter in what was a 15-0 run that lead to the Cavaliers win. LeBron had such a good game he even hit a 3 pointer tonight, something he had failed to do in 5 of the first 6 Cleveland games. The Bulls were led by Ben Gordon’s 29 points and rookie Derrick Rose contributed with 17 points and 9 assists. The Cavaliers continue to impress early in this season as the Bulls continue to look like the inconsistent young team that they are.
This game had to be the most anticipated one of the night with Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade going head to head. Both players put up great games for their respective teams, but CP3 came out ahead. Chris Paul had his sixth straight double-double and set the record for consecutive games at the start of a season with at least 20 points and 10 assists previously held by Oscar Robertson. Paul also continued his steals streak which is now at 90 games. This game started out close, but the Hornets pulled away to an 11 point half time lead and maintained that in the second half. Dwyane Wade led his Heat team with 30 points and 10 dimes. He also had the highlight of the night with a sick put back dunk. Unfortunately for Wade, no one else on the Heat stepped up which helped lead to the Hornets victory.
