Be ready for another free agent feeding frenzy, as LeBron James has opted out of his contract

It's possible, with LeBron James' agent announcing to the Heat that he's exercising his early termination clause and exploring free agency.

This is a move that will likely be the first in a series of dominoes that could leave the entire league looking a lot different in a couple months.

Teammate Chris Bosh will likely opt out as well, and there's a possibility (albeit slim) that Dwyane Wade could also opt out of his deal. Unfortunately for Wade, he's not likely to get another max contract like the other two if he chooses to opt out.

This doesn't mean LeBron is necessarily leaving Miami, although that's certainly a possibility. This is more likely just a move designed to put pressure on Heat president Pat Riley and owner Micky Arison to build a better roster around their "Big 3" to allow them to once again reach the championship level they were at before this year.

This could be a very interesting offseason, starting with LeBron and where he decides to play. If he stays in Miami, count on them being right at the top of the East again. If not, we could see a very different NBA over the next couple years.

I don't see Lebron as one of guys that is going to continue to jump from team to team to try and get a title. The Heat have something good going in what is a really bad Eastern Conference. Like Pat Riley said in the press conference, they don't need to blow this up and start over. The Heat just need to fine tune and tweak the roster to get some better pieces around their big 3

When it's all said and done, I really don't see Lebron wearing another jersey next season other than the Heat.  The Eastern Conference is so watered down that with James, Bosh and Wade, Miami is going to be the odds on favorite every season to get to the NBA Finals.  What the Heat need are some better pieces to play around these 3.
