Blog Photo - LeSean McCoy Cleared, Will Start This WeekPhiladelphia Eagles' running back LeSean McCoy, who has been sidelined since Week 11 with a concussion, has been cleared to play and will start for the Eagles in their Sunday matchup against the Redskins. There were thoughts that the Eagles may consider shutting down McCoy to prevent the risk of another concussion and subsequent harsher symptoms, but after gaining clearance from both the Eagles' medical staff and an independent neurologist, the team has confidence that McCoy is at no greater risk than he was before his injury.

It's interesting to note that quarterback Michael Vick, who suffered a concussion the week before McCoy, has also been cleared to play, but is expected to be the No. 3 quarterback for the Eagles on Sunday. While McCoy is obviously a big part of the team's future, Vick's demotion further proves what we already know - the Eagles are no longer committed to him as their quarterback.

If losing McCoy didn't already ruin their fantasy teams, his return will be gratefully welcomed by owners who held on to him through the playoffs. He'll be a solid RB2 against the Redskins this week, especially considering he's utilized as a pass catching option when the Eagles are in comeback mode.

Two-week sensation Bryce Brown will remain in the backfield mix, but will probably only get about ten touches. Brown's fantasy scoring output will likely be based strictly on whether or not he breaks off a big play, which makes him a risky flex option for fantasy championship week.

PS - People criticize Bryce Brown for fumbling due to not holding the ball tight to his body, but take a look at the picture above and take a guess at where he learned that carrying style (McCoy always runs like that).
