Prior to today had you asked me about Lisfranc, I'd have told you I didn't know her. Thanks to Dwight Freeney I'm reminded of the many bones in my foot that I incredibly valuable to have healthy when playing football. Freeney's injury looked serious on Sunday night and the evaluations have done nothing to dispel those initial thoughts. While the Colts brass is currently sticking with a wait and see approach it appears likely the best defensive end in football is lost for the season.
Say goodbye to any thoughts of Indianapolis returning to the Super Bowl. Dwight Freeney is as valuable a player as there is in the NFL at one of the most valuable positions. Without pressure on the QB, we'll call him Tom, there's very little chance of victory when the once inevitable rematch occurs in New England.
Too soon for me to call it over for the Colts?
