After two months of weighing his options (and still considering the Buckeyes), Neal became the 19th member of Les Miles' recruiting class for 2013 by joining the Tigers.
Neal, who plays defensive end and tight end for his high school team, will likely fit in as an outside linebacker with LSU. His size (6'2", 230 pounds) will prevent him to play DE at a high level, especially against quality opponents of the SEC.
Rivals rates Neal as a 3-star athlete and the No. 13 overall recruit from the state of North Carolina.
Neal also held offers from Clemson, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
