Blog Photo - Lions' Center Raiola Done with Titus YoungDetroit Lions' center Dominic Raiola - one of the more outspoken offensive linemen I'm aware of - expressed his displeasure with recently suspended teammate Titus Young, saying the team has "moved on" from the selfish second-year receiver.

"He wants to be an asshole, let him be an asshole," Raiola said. "It's not my problem. What we can control is the guys who want to be here, and when you act like that, you don't want to be here."

It's hard for anyone to have a problem with what Raiola said, especially since the news broke that Titus Young purposely lined up in the wrong spot multiple times in Week 11's matchup with the Packers. Young also reportedly "mouthed off" to receivers coach Shawn Jefferson during the loss. With a history of sulking over not getting the ball thrown his way, a lack of targets is likely that is what caused Young's displeasure with the coaches. Of course, when you're averaging only 11.6 yards per catch (69th in the NFL), it's tough to make a good case for more looks.

Raiola's words carry weight from the Lions' organization, as he has started 167 of the team's past 176 games and was a team captain last season. If Raiola's name looks familiar, it's probably due to his comments on the long-term risks of playing football, saying, "When you sign up for this job, you know what you're getting into." He also went on to say, "Memory loss is going to come... It's worth it - totally worth it. This is the best job in the world. I would never trade it for anything."

With former captain Raiola calling Titus Young an "asshole," and current captain Calvin Johnson saying he expects Ryan Broyles and Mike Thomas to be the No. 2 and 3 receivers going forward, things are certainly not looking good for Young. Decent talent with a cancerous personality is no winning combination in the NFL, and if Young doesn't immediately prove to the coaching staff that he has his attitude under control, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get cut and struggle to find a job.
