0	The Lions absolutely WILL NOT spend the money for a great football mind to run this franchise. They Draft some of the most talented players around but NO coach to pull it all together. This is why their players loss interest and go to other teams because the LOSSING is so contagious. This is not a bad team, just being coached bad.

They draft some of the most talented players around?!?!?!?!........What? Jordan Dizion the worlds smallest middle linebacker that people projected in the 5th you take in the 2nd. Mike Williams, Joey Harrington, Andre Ware, Charles Rogers, Alamba Francis??(Mel Kiper didn't even know who the guy was)......etc The team drafts 4WR in a 6 year span and only two are still even in the league. (I'll concede the other two are actually pretty darn good) I believe that in most cases the coach isn't going to mean much if you don't draft well. If you look at recent Super Bowl winners they all have strung 3 strong drafts in a row in their recent past before winning. The Lions have 1 decent, not good, decent draft in the last 7yrs......On a note more towards the actual blog post my buddy was at the game yesterday and told me a few things he saw. First he saw a group of 7 or so guys rip the jerseys off their back and chuck them on the field after the 2nd int, and lastly a certain playes wife cussing the hell out of Kitna after the 3rd int including this gem...."why the hell did we get drafted here!"

Try living in Detroit - we have been begging, screaming, threatening, crying and, well, frankly, hiding for YEARS now. There is no talent, no coaching, no leadership in the locker room, no leadership in the front office, no good drafting - I could go on. Even when we had talent, it was wasted on poor coaching and even worse player leadership. Again this year, this "team" is just a loosely connected group of individuals who have no connection to a team concept. Millen needs GO!

In Detroit, I really feel sorry for the fans. Ever since the days of Barry Sanders the management never provide real talented players to the roster. I was just a Barry Sanders fan because he never had a decent offensive line to run behind and he was so good that management felt they did not have to invest in one, but look what happened to everyone else who needed that offensive line, especially the quarterback. If they don't get good management ( and good ownership) there will be no fan support for any players that may become stars while they are there because they will leave.
