Not a bad Olympic career for one Lisa Leslie. Team USA's women won their fourth straight Olympic basketball gold medal today, beating Australia 92-65.
Leslie has been a part of each of those triumphs, giving her the most Olympic basketball gold medals of all time. Kara Lawson led the way with 15 points, Candace Parker and Leslie each with 14.
Not that this was much of a surprise, the gap between the US women and the rest of the world is considerably larger than the men, but if there was a chance for an upset it's always Lauren Jackson and Australia.
The WNBA MVP left her Seattle Storm early to get ready with her teammates, and did her part scoring a game-high 20.
Being a part of US Olympics basketball for 16 years is an incredible feat, one that will likely never be matched again. Maybe Candace Parker if she remains interested and healthy in 12 years. What we do know is that it won't be an American male.
