Pepe Reina he will be available to Liverpool next season, but both parties have separate minds as to how the summer transfer window could see their long-standing understanding finally reach its breaking point.
The 30-year-old Spain international has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona since last year. Now, the out of favor Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has handed in his transfer request, the La Liga champions are forced to search for a new goalkeeper.

“It has not changed a bit,” Pepe Reina said about his decision to leave Liverpool. “I have said it many times, I’m very comfortable and very happy at Liverpool.”
“Every team needs competitors, and when it’s positive, it is more than welcome. If it is finally done, I’ll welcome him a lot and anything he needs, I’m here,” Pepe Reina said on Simon Mignolet’s arrival.
It will be interesting to see who Brendan Rodgers picks in the starting game of the season.
