David Villa scored 23 goals and provided nine assists in 52 appearances, however, since then the striker has overshadowed by the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Cesc Fabregas, Andres Iniesta, Pedro and Lionel Messi.
Moreover, David Villa got involved in an on-pitch quandary with teammate Lionel Messi earlier in the season. In a recent interview David Villa explained that he has been unhappy at Barcelona for a while now.
“The fact that I haven't been used to playing regularly means I am less patient. But I'm ready to play and I know my leg will respond to 90 minutes,” said David Villa, who is recovering from a broken leg.
