Liverpool star Luis Suarez hints towards a switch to Bayern Munich
Liverpool’s crown jewel Luis Suarez has hinted towards a switch if Bayern Munich coming looking for him. This isn’t the first time the Uruguayan international has attracted interest from European football giants. Luis Suarez was being linked with a move to Real Madrid during the winter transfer window.
The 26-year-old striker has been in phenomenal form for Liverpool this season. Luis Suarez has netted 26 goals and provided nine assists in 38 appearances for the Reds. A long list of suitors have questioned Liverpool whether Luis Suarez is available in the transfer market.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers shudders to think of the day he would have to feature a team without Luis Suarez, but the gaffer’s fear cannot guarantee the safety of Luis Suarez’s future at Liverpool.
Luis Suarez has shown tremendous amount of loyalty towards Liverpool, but the striker will be shaken by interest from European football giants such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City have been interested in acquiring Luis Suarez’s signature since last summer. Liverpool has refused to accept any bids for the Uruguayan striker, but the transfer committee might cave in from a large offer.
Brendan Rodgers claims Luis Suarez is vital to Liverpool’s rejuvenation process in the Premier League. The manager explained that Luis Suarez has played a pivotal role in bringing Liverpool to eighth place following an abysmal start to the season.
It is because of Luis Suarez’s efforts that Liverpool is still contention for a Champions League spot.
“Who's mine? (player of the year) Luis Suarez. He has been phenomenal. That's not just an opinion as his manager,” Brendan Rodgers told reporters. “Luis had to play as the only striker we had for six months and hasn't missed a single day training. I couldn't look further than Luis.
“Liverpool travel away to Wigan on Saturday looking to maintain the pressure on the teams above them.”
Luis Suarez has always shown passion for Liverpool. Since his transfer from Ajax in 2010, Luis Suarez has experienced a life’s worth of high and lows under a Reds’ jersey. Luis Suarez has always suggested that he intends to stay at Liverpool in the future, but his recent statements hint towards a move to Bayern Munich.
“If Bayern Munich makes an offer I would certainly be willing to listen and think about it,” Luis Suarez said. “It doesn’t mean I will definitely leave, it just means that I will not automatically reject other clubs.”
Liverpool has embedded a £36 million buy-out-clause in Luis Suarez’s contract. Luis Suarez signed in a new long-term contract with Liverpool back in August of last year, which means Bayern Munich will have to empty their pockets if they wish to sign in Luis Suarez.
