Liverpool to reignite their fiery fighting spirit by signing Juan Manuel Vargas

Liverpool are in their worst run of form in 53 years. Their recent string of poor performances has prompted its American owners to question Kenny Dalglish’s ability to manage the club. Dalglish’s signings have also come under scrutiny.

The list of players that were brought to Anfield during Dalglish’s rule are Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez, Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Doni. Sadly, apart from Luis Suarez none of these players have lived up to the hype they created at their signings.

Essentially, Liverpool seems to be missing that fiery fighting spirit that has spurred the Merseyside Reds to so many legendary victories over the past century. Dalglish reckons he needs players that would be willing to live and die for the club in order to fulfill their primary objective which is to contend for Champions League glory.

The latest name to have hit Liverpool’s summer transfer-target list is Serie A’s football magician Juan Manuel Vargas. The Fiorentina winger has been in good form for the Italian outfit and can perform on a regular basis. Vargas’ is a versatile attacking player that can be used on either wings or in the attacking midfield.

Due to his numerous talents, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg are also interest in acquiring his services. Munich’s £8 million bid has already been rejected by Fiorentina which means a bidding war could occur for the 28-year-old Peru international.

Dalglish wants to buff up Liverpool’s attack this summer, which is why he is poised to place a bid of the Argentina international Matias Suarez. The 23-year-old forward has been in superb form for Anderlecht this season.

Suarez has scored 18 goals and provided 16 assists in the 37 games he has appeared in this season. Suarez’s impressive statistics will turn him into a hot object during the summer transfer window.

Italian and Spanish clubs have already started bidding for Suarez. Clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester Untied are also interested in him.
