Liverpool to target Demba Ba, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott in the winter transfer window
1 – Demba Ba (Newcastle United)
According to news from the Tyneside, Newcastle United is ready to sell Demba Ba in the winter transfer window. Newcastle United has become fed up by the high wage demands of the Senegal international.
Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew already has Papis Cisse as Demba Ba’s replacement. A number of English Premier League clubs (including Liverpool) are eager to sign in the 27-year-old striker.
Sources have revealed that Demba Ba gas a £7.5million release clause in his contract. Chelsea is also keen on signing in Demba Ba to replace their inconsistent £50 million striker Fernando Torres.
Demba Ba has asked a £10,000-a-week wage increase on his current contract, which is £50,000-a-week. Newcastle United report that they are tired of Demba Ba’s demands which is why they have placed him in the transfer market.
2 – Mesut Ozil (Real Madrid)
Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil has also become out of favor at his club. Liverpool is closely monitoring the saga. The Reds are expected to attempt a swoop in for the Germany international during the winter transfer window.
The arrival of Luka Modric at Santiago Bernabeu has cast a doubt over Mesut Ozil’s future in the first team of Real Madrid. Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho still features Mesut Ozil in his lineup, but the 23-year-old has lost his spot in the first team.
Mesut Ozil’s current contract with Real Madrid will see him play for the Spanish football giants till the summer of 2016. Liverpool’s transfer team is eager to sign in a talent like Mesut Ozil if an opportunity appears.
3 – Theo Walcott (Arsenal)
Liverpool is finding it hard to convince top notch players to play under a Reds jersey. This is why Liverpool I also looking into signing underdogs. Arsenal star Theo Walcott tops the list when it comes to underdogs.
The young England international has been in and out of Arsenal’s team for a long time. With quick feet and superb finishing skills Theo Walcott promises to be a very forward. However, the 23-year-old hasn’t lived up to his potential.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is undecided on whether he should cash in on his young ace or keep him in London for another season. Keeping Theo Walcott in the squad can certainly prove to be very advantageous as he can play as a winger and a forward.
