Mandatory Credit: David Butler II-USA TODAY SportsThere have been several articles written today about who the next coach of the Los Angeles Clippers will be, and there seems to be a front runner.

Jeff Van Gundy was reached out to, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

They didn't accomplish much and didn't even discuss anything about an interview.

So, basically, they gave Van Gundy a nod of acknowledgment over the phone.

Van Gundy has said he'd consider becoming a head coach again.

It was also mentioned earlier that Las Vegas has the odds at him coaching the Clippers at +1000, so he's the front runner along with his brother Stan Van Gundy who is also at +1000 odds.

Jeff has a lot to offer to any team, though he's never won an NBA championship. Also, he's pretty good if things get scrappy.

In all seriousness though, this could be a good fit with the Clippers' personnel, but as we learned with Vinny Del Negro, it's all up to Batman and Robin Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
