According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN LA, the Clippers are discussing a trade with the Orlando Magic that would send Afflafo, forward Andrew Nicholson and a future first round pick to LA in return for point guard Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler, to make the money match up.

They’re trying to make it happen before the draft on Thursday.

If they do this, the Clippers are banking heavily that Chris Paul will re-sign with the team after he becomes a free agent on July 1st, but they still have no guarantee of that.

However, Bledsoe has also been linked to trade talks with the Los Angeles Lakers to try and bring Dwight Howard to their roster in a sign-and-trade.

Right now, they are exploring all options, and Doc Rivers hasn’t had his say in the matter as of yet.

This would be a good move for the Clippers, except for the fact that they wouldn’t have a great PG to back up Paul, who will be hurt for a small part of the season, based on his past numbers.

Good trade both ways, Afflalo is a great complement to CP3 - assuming he returns - and Bledsoe would instantly become the most promising piece in Orlando.
