winning five games in a row. The boys in blue won their game on Sunday against the Rockies 7-1, led by Matt Kemp and Josh Beckett.
Beckett had his first win in five starts and Kemps continued to lead the sluggers with two hits, one run and batting two runners in. Kemp is very optimisting about the Dodgers chances, saying:
"We still know there's hope. There's a plan for everything and hopefully our plan is to make it to the postseason. The way we're playing, I wold like our chances."
Who wouldn't? They did just win 7-1, making it their fifth straight. Granted, the Rockies are a young team, boasting seven rookies, but never underestimate the power of momentum.
The Dodgers face the Giants next, which will be another test to see if they can keep the win streak going. Kemp thinks they can, stating that the Dodgers always play well at home.
But they still don't control their destiny, so the only thing they can do is play hard, win games, and pray that they make up their two give deficit to get into that second wildcard spot.
