After the first two games in Philly, it looked like this series was going to spiral completely out of control. Luckily for us fans, the Dodgers decided not to let that happen by buzzing Shane Victorino in Game 3 and setting off a "hold me back, man!" style fight. Sure, a full scale brawl would have been better, but at least we have some real spice in this series now. Lord knows it needed it.
As for tonight, the Dodgers are turning to Derek Lowe on three days rest. Lowe lost Game 1 in Philadelphia on Thursday after allowing home runs to Chase Utley and Pat Burrell in the sixth inning of Los Angeles' 3-2 defeat. Honestly, I don't like the move, but hey, I'm just a fool typing on the internet, not the manager of the Dodgers.
The Phillies will counter with Joe Blanton. Blanton was anything but spectacular this season, going 9-12 with a 4.69 ERA. But he did win Game 4 of the NLDS against the Brewers. One interesting thing to note is that Manny owns Blanton. Manny is 14-for-25 (.560) lifetime off Blanton, including 6-for-13 with a home run and six RBIs against him in 2008.
As of right now, 75% of FanIQ is going with the Dodgers.
