Greene was hurt in the Kings' loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on opening day, and it's now been announced by the team that he won't be returning this season.

At first, Coach Darryl Sutter said it was a mid-body injury, but after Greene was looked at by a doctor, it's been determined that he won't be returning. Since Willie Mitchell is also out, Jake Muzzin will fill in.

Muzzin has been with the Kings since 2010 and played 11 games total. It may be wishful thinking to hope that he's been gaining knowledge and skill that whole time, but the Kings may need some luck with their current defense.
