While the Los Angeles Lakers' front office may be making it sound like they aren't making any moves, there are reports saying otherwise.

Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio wrote this today:

The Lakers are exploring all kinds of potential deals, having floated every name on the roster this side of Kobe Bryant. They are said to be open to trading Metta World Peace for a late first-rounder, with their eyes on Baylor forward Quincy Miller and Kentucky point guard Marquis Teague... If the Cavs are able to move up and nab Beal at No. 2, there’s talk the Lakers would be willing to make life easy for the Wizards and help them move out of the third spot. It would likely take power forward Pau Gasol. Far-fetched for now, but don’t be surprised if it’s something that’s explored in the right situation.

This is one of those moves that is scary for Lakers fans, but is required of a forward thinking organization, which the Lakers have always been. This unloads a ton of salary from their payroll and gives the Lakers a chance to go after some free agents, as well as begin rebuilding the team with some younger, talented players.

When they first got Sessions, Kupchak said he didn't think there was anyone in the draft that was better than him. Since Sessions opted out of his contract, the GM has to deal with something he hadn't planned on.

Everything is getting pretty exciting at this point. It will be interesting to see what they do.
