Just when it looked like Steve Blake could possibly be the Los Angeles Lakers’ savior in the playoffs (and yes, I’m aware of how that sounds), but now he’ll likely miss game three against the San Antonio Spurs. The guard injured his right hamstring and received an ultrasound on Thursday which ruled him out indefinitely. Blake said:
"It hurts right now. If it's something that I can deal with, I'll deal with it, but I just don't know right now. You almost can't even be surprised anymore. It's been that kind of year. I'm just kind of emotional about it right now. I hoping it's nothing serious."
Steve Nash got another epidural in his hamstring to help with his nerve damage. It’s his third this week, so basically he’s just playing thanks to the marvels of modern medicine. He’s doubtful for Friday’s game.
Finally, Jodie Meeks didn’t play on Wednesday, and he’s doubtful for Friday’s game as well, saying that he’s disappointed.
Expect to see a lot of Duhon, Morris and Goudelock. This could be a really good thing, or an insurmountable one.
