Mandatory Credit: Soobum Im-USA TODAY SportsThe Houston Rockets brought quite the entourage to Los Angeles to pitch Dwight Howard, but since the Lakers are already in town, they’ve got a lot in store.

Howard already met with both the Rockets, and Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak briefly, but Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash will also be there when the team meets with Howard to give him the official pitch.

Reportedly, this will include details on Howard’s own TV show for the Lakers’ Time Warner Cable channel.

Phil Jackson won’t be at the meeting, but tweeted to Howard:

It would be great if Howard came back to LA, but it isn’t the end of the world if he doesn’t. Currently, the Lakers will not go far with Mike D’Antoni as a coach because of his slow adjustments, poor bench rotation and misuse of personnel.

Howard having a show may not be the worst thing either. Look at Lamar Odom who got sixth man of the year once he got a TV gig.

It will be interesting to see what the big man does, but if nothing else, hopefully the Lakers talk him into a sign-and-trade. The rumored package from the Golden State Warriors is particularly desirable since D’Antoni is still going to be the coach.

No. The Lakers just want to save face for all of the suckage lately, but my Kobe really does think he can get the best out of Dwight. It annoys me because I don't mind Howard, but he doesn't belong on my Lakers team.

Playing for the Lakers means you already have your own reality show.  In Dwight's case, I hope he resigns with the Lakers so we can have another season of them making headlines for all the wrong reasons again this yearwink
