Game Info: No. 4 Louisville vs. No. 13 Davidson, West Regional at Portland, Ore. 1:40 p.m. ET, TBS

About Louisville:

After sputtering down the stretch and losing four of their last six regular season games, the Cardinals (26-9), got hot in the Big East Tournament and won on four consecutive days to win the Big East Tournament Championship. Louisville hopes to copy last year's Big East Tournament champion, Connecticut, who just kept winning straight through the NCAA Championship. The Cardinals don't have one star player, but they are big and physical and bludgeon their opponents on the glass. Rick Pitino's squad isn't dependent on one scorer, but instead a half dozen players average between 9.0 and 13.1 points per game. One weakness is outside shooting--the Cardinals shot just 31 percent as a team from three-point range this season.

About Davidson:

This isn't Stephen Curry's Davidson squad anymore, but the Wildcats (25-7) are still a mighty dangerous team. In fact, Louisville coach Rick Pitino called the Wildcats the "toughest first round opponent" he has ever faced this week. The champions of the Southern Conference and Southern Conference Tournament, Davidson challenged itself with a difficult schedule this year, which included a win over Kansas in Kansas City, a close loss to Vanderbilt and losses to Duke and Wichita State. The Wildcats' biggest strength is their inside game, which is a change from Curry's days at the school. Despite playing just 23 minutes per game, 6-foot-7 sophomore De'Mon Brooks leads Davidson in both scoring and rebounding with 16.0 points and 6.3 rebounds a game. As a team, the Wildcats are 19th in the nation in rebounding, and 12th in scoring offense.
