Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsOn Saturday, Mexico and Canada faced off in the World Baseball Classic, and it included a fairly large brawl.

At the time, Luis Cruz was not ejected from the game, although seven other players were. However, after looking at the replay, it's pretty clear that Cruz did throw a punch.

So, while Cruz will be returning to the Dodgers sooner rather than later, it might not be that soon after all.

Eric Stephen of True Blue LA has pointed out that MLB could punish him for his involvement.

Hopefully MLB will look the other way since it was something that wasn't related to MLB, but it's fairly common for major sports leagues to fine or suspend players for things that happened off the field or court.

They should also take into account that Cruz wasn't issued a foul at the time.

Actually...  This was VERY much related to MLB.  This is their tournament.  They began it.  They want their players taking part.  They are the ones who have worked with NBL and other world baseball organizations to make this work.
