Fresh off completing the 2007 campaign where Cleveland had a four game series with Seattle completely wiped out due to snow. Where Cleveland wasn't able to make up any of the four home games, with three played in Milwaukee and one home game played in Seattle, Major League Baseball has decided to fulfill their legacy as geniuses by having Cleveland open the 2008 season at home on March 31st.

I'm sure the Indians love getting opening day at home, but maybe, just maybe, we shouldn't have March baseball in Cleveland. Heck, maybe we shouldn't have March baseball at all. Then again we might have November baseball this year too.

0	They could have a snowman-building contest after the game--or instead of, if the weather does what it did last year!! The only Northern teams that should have home games before April 15th are ones like Minnesota, Milwaukee, and Toronto, where the roof can be closed. I guess that might make too much sense, though--sorry for bringing that up!!

I really hope the Twins won't be opening their new stadium at home in early April or March.

0	I look forward to being able to the Indians play in Milwaukee again this next season. Maybe in 2008 we can be home of 2 division champs. I understand that the idea is to have the Indians celebrate their division championship at home, but whats the point if the game is going to be postponed?
