Tim Kurkjian just referred to this as all Holidays combined into one for him. I don't know if I find it that thrilling, but it's certainly the most tantalizing transaction period in all of sports. We're a mere 26 hours from the deadline and already the biggest name as been dealt. Mark Teixeira will now be in attendance when Bobby Cox breaks the all-time ejection record. More importantly, the Braves should rake in runs during the next two months.
What others rumors are floating around?
Jermaine Dye to the Red Sox. The report goes so far as to say it's a "pretty good" chance. I'm not sure what's gotten into Dye this season, he's a hell of a player. This is a World Series winning type move for the Red Sox if they pull it off.
Just about everyone in the playoff hunt is after Gagne. Where do you think he'll land?
Whoever loses out on Gagne, will likely be after Al Reyes. Don't laugh, he's actually been more than decent. Mariners are the strongest contenders.
Mets hard after Twins' Louis Castillo. That would more than makeup for the "loss" of Valentin.
Consider this the official speculation thread. Feel free to post any and all rumors you hear
