Major League Baseball is occasionally comically dumb. They've done things such as ignoring steroids, creating bizarre and frustrating TV agreements, slapping ads on bases, etc.

But they may have just reached a new low.

In preparation for All-Star Weekend, MLB is starting to roll out collectible Statue of Liberty figurines, and describing them as hideous would be far too kind. Here's just a small example of the carnage.

They really mailed in that Royals one, didn't they? By the way, you can find a whole host of these monstrosities here.

Amazingly, you have to pay $24.99 for these beauties. Frankly, you couldn't pay me $24.99 to take one these things, that's how bad they are.

Way to go MLB, you continue to astound and amaze. You also make it more than clear why the terrorists hate us.

Wow...these are absolutely hideous... good find.

And after looking at all of them... I'll say this. If anyone out there thinks that they aren't THAT bad... realize this: The 3 that 100% posted in the above picture... those aren't even close to the worst ones. Aside from the Royals one, he posted some of the best looking ones. And that's not saying much at all. He could have posted the Marlins, Tigers, or Orioles ones... those are NOT a pretty sight... trust me.
