Right now, Jimmy Graham is going near the end of the third, early fourth in standard 10-team drafts, and for about $30 in auction formats.  If Gronkowski stays healthy, he’s the best tight end on the board unquestionably, but that’s just about as big of an ‘if’ as you’ll come around in the fantasy game.  The Pats tight end is currently going about a round later and for $5 to $10 less.

I think both of those players are well worthy what they’re currently going for, if not slightly more, just because the rest of the field is so uninspiring.  It’s the next set of guys that really raises questions for me.

Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten are currently going in the 6th round/7th round area, a little under $10 in auction.  Vernon Davis about a round later for just over $6 and then there are a flurry of guys in the 9th to 10th round and $2 to $5 range: Kyle Rudolph, Owen Daniels, Greg Olsen, and Antonio Gates.

To make it easier, here are ESPN’s top 15 rankings along with overall rankings in parenthesis. Turn the page for the key questions regarding tight ends this season:
