Manchester City is ready to offer David Silva a new £52 million contract in an attempt to ward off increasing interest in the football market for the Spaniard. Real Madrid has stepped forward with large bids for the former Valencia midfielder.

The La Liga Champions are willing to break their banks in order to sign in David Silva. The 26-year-old Spain international has been in fine form for his club and country as of late. David Silva’s impressive form has attracted a lot of interest in Europe.

Top notch clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid are eager to sign in the attacking midfielder.

Real Madrid is ready to offer £50 million to Manchester City for David Silva but the boss of Eastlands Roberto Mancini has no intentions of letting go off his coveted possession.

David Silva still has two years left on his contract with Manchester City. Nonetheless, Manchester City want to ink a long term contract with David Silva to insure the Spaniard stays loyal to the Blue Rising Moon in the long run.

Roberto Mancini can be found singing praises for his prized playmaker time and again. David Silva played a pivotal role in taking Manchester City to their first English Premier League title 44 years.

Manchester City officials have informed that David Silva’s new contract will present the Spaniard with a salary above £200,000-a-week, which will place David Silva in the same wage category as his teammates Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Yaya Toure.

David Silva, who joined Manchester City from Valencia during the summers of 2010 for £24 million, has been in phenomenal form ever since his signing.

David Silva, who is also known as “the Merlin of Manchester”, has become a fan favorite at Manchester City. In a recent interview on his own website, David Silva said that he was very comfortable and satisfied with his stay in Manchester and was not looking towards an away move.

Nonetheless, Manchester City wants to insure there is no chance of that happening.

“I feel very comfortable here,” David Silva said. “In only two years I have been able to win the most prestigious titles in England – the FA Cup and the Premier League.”

David Silva’s agent Julio Llorente also commented on the topic.

“David has a long contract with Man City. I don’t know what will happen in the future but he wants to stay,” Julio Llorente said.
