Manchester City have faced a lot of problems this season, but Sergio Aguero is not one of them. As a matter of fact the Argentinean hit-man is one of the reasons behind their impressive results in the Premier League and the Champions League.

The Eastlands would have been lost or be responsible a large number of embarrassing results had it not been for Aguero. The 25-year-old Argentina international believes manager Manuel Pellegrini has played a big role in bringing the best out of him.

Aguero insists Pellegrini and his demanding approach are at the core of his impressive form. Aguero, who has netted 12 goals in his last 10 games for Manchester City, is currently tied on top of the Premier League charts for the most goals scored.

The former Atletico Madrid striker believes Pellegrini, who arrived this summer from Malaga, has given him a great deal of confidence in his abilities. Aguero claims trusting his abilities as enabled him to unlock better form this season.

“As I’ve always said, every coach is different,” Aguero told Manchester City’s official website. “They have different ideas on how to play the game and we must adapt to Pellegrini’s style and do what he says.

“He demands a lot of me during training and matches. He encourages me to be at my best at all times. When your coach is like that, he gives you confidence and the only way to repay his faith is to do my best on the pitch.”

Aguero also declared that he will try to win next year’s World Cup in Brazil. Aguero, who has 19 goals to his name in 46 appearances for Argentina, believes Argentina will be competitors for the World Cup this year.

Aguero is expected to be part of an attack that will include Gonzalo Higuain and Lionel Messi. The deadly trio can wreak havoc on even the world’s best defensive lineups.

“The dream for any player is to win the World Cup. Well, it is for me,” Aguero added. “The expectation for the people of Argentina is for us to win but we know it will be very difficult. We will all do our best to have an excellent campaign in Brazil.”
