Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is desperately looking for a Paul Scholes’ successor. It appears as if he has finally found one. The Old Trafford boss believes Malaga star Isco will be an ideal replacement for veteran midfielder Paul Scholes.

A number of other top notch clubs are also interested in signing Isco. The list includes Manchester United’s archrivals Manchester City. The Eastlands boss Roberto Mancini has even personally travelled to Spain to see Isco play.

Manchester United lead the race to sign in Isco, but other Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are also interested in acquiring the services of Isco.

The 20-year-old midfielder is considered to be one of the most talented midfielders in the football market. Malaga is unwilling to part ways with Isco, but financial struggles will force the Spanish club into selling their star midfielder.

Isco helped Malaga reach the Champions League last season. This season Isco is one of the best midfielders in the Champions League.

Malaga sold Santi Cazorla and Salomon Rondon last summer, but it’s rumored that Malaga still needs to balance their books.

Isco has been one of Malaga’s best players on the pitch since he broke into first team last year. Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini understands how vital Isco has been to the success of the club.

Malaga has been defeated only once in their nine La Liga matches. Malaga is third placed on the La Liga table, behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Isco’s unique ability to dictate midfield-play and join his teammates in the attack is what impresses Sir Alex Ferguson the most. Sir Alex Ferguson has been heavily reliant on Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs in the midfield.

Michael Carrick’s inconsistent form has cost Manchester United heavily on a number of occasions. Paul Scholes will hang up his boots at the end of the season and Ryan Giggs never truly evolved from a winger to a midfielder.

Manchester United’s young batch of midfielders includes Anderson, Tom Cleverly and Shinji Kagawa, but none of these players have shown potential of a great player yet.

In order to bring Isco to Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to Malaga a £17 transfer deal during the winter transfer window.
