As unbelievable as it may sound, the young Manchester City bad boy Mario Balotelli is about to becoming a father. The Italy international was told he will become a father just a couple of hours before he scored a memorable brace in the Euro 2012 semifinal against Germany.
 
Italian media brought forth this news after their national football team was hammered 4-0 against Spain in the Euro 2012 final.
 
Mario Balotelli’s girlfriend Raffaella Fico informed that she told the former Inter Milan striker about the news hours before the game against Germany began.
 
While talking to the celebrity gossip magazine “Chi”, Raffaella Fico said that Mario Balotelli was exuberant to hear this news.
 
“I called Mario while he was with the national team before the match with Germany and I said to him: 'remember our dream of becoming parents? Well that dream has become a reality. I'm expecting a baby. Your baby',” Raffaella Fico said.
 
“He remained silent at first, then he let himself go:'you've given me the best news in the world', he told me. Then the next day on the pitch he scored two goals,” Raffaella Fico added.
 
Italy defeated Germany 2-1 in a pulsating encounter to earn a spot in the Euro 2012 finals against Spain, all thanks to Mario Balotelli.
 
The young Italian was unable to post a good performance against Spain. Spain kept most of the possession and came up with most of the attacks. Although, Mario Balotelli came close to scoring on a couple of instances and provided a couple of excellent assists; Italy could do little against the Super Spain.
 
Nonetheless, Mario Balotelli proved that he is growing more mature with time. The hot-headed notorious striker avoided confrontations and mostly concentrated on scoring against his opponents.
 
Mario Balotelli’s Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini would be a proud and happy man after the Italian’s performance at Euro 2012.
 
Mario Balotelli, who is the first black man to play for Italy, was also a contender for the Golden Boot award at Euro 2012.
