Manchester City could lose Edin Dzeko to AC Milan
Edin Dzeko’s future at Manchester City is in jeopardy. Following statements controversial statements about leaving Eastlands this summer, Edin Dzeko officially entered the transfer market on the orders of Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.
The Italian boss was clearly unhappy with Edin Dzeko’s desire and freedom of expression. Later, Roberto Mancini declared that he was in full control of his squad and all players at Manchester City were happy and satisfied with their stay at the Eastlands.
Well, Roberto Mancini was forgetting about a couple of players in his squad; including Carlos Tevez. It is still not clear whether Carlos Tevez will survive another year with Manchester City, although the Argentinean has offered an olive branch to Roberto Mancini following a series of out-of-control-rages.
Unlike Carlos Tevez, Roberto Mancini has little to complain about Edin Dzeko. As a matter of fact, Roberto Mancini is full of praise for the 26-year-old Bosnian. Edin Dzeko played an important role in helping Manchester City win their first English Premier League title in 44 years last season.
Edin Dzeko struck one of the goals in the last five minutes of the season that took Manchester City to Premier League glory. For that reason alone Roberto Mancini had been singing hymns about Edin Dzeko at the end of the season.
Nonetheless, Edin Dzeko wants to move to a team that can guarantee first team action. With Manchester clocking time on the field has been difficult for Edin Dzeko. Since moving from Wolfsburg to Manchester City, Edin Dzeko has been unable to cement his place in the first team.
This is one of the main reason Edin Dzeko desires a move to AC Milan. Edin Dzeko has been dreaming about playing for AC Milan since he was a kid.
Following a season of good performances for Manchester City, Edin Dzeko’s appeal to move out of Manchester City has been well received in the transfer market. A number of clubs have responded to Edin Dzeko’s pleas with AC Milan and Juventus topping the list.
Both Italian clubs are aiming to buff up their offense before the start of the new season. After losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan is intent on bringing a new hulk in their attack force.
According to reports from Italy, AC Milan’s new striker could arrive in the form of Edin Dzeko. Apparently, AC Milan have already approached Manchester City with an unofficial bid for Edin Dzeko.
“I always follow the Italian league and one day I'd like to play in it,” Edin Dzeko said in a recent interview.
“For now I am a City player, but to be sure I will stay here I will have to wait until the end of the month. I'll see what happens, and if someone else comes.
“I also know that Milan has sold two of its best players.”
