Rumors about Manchester City offering Carlos Tevez to Real Madrid have been confirmed. The Eastlands are planning to fuel their bid on Arsenal ace Robin van Persie by offering the Manchester City bad boy Carlos Tevez to Real Madrid for £25 million. Real Madrid are yet to respond to this offer, although manager Jose Mourinho will most certainly be interested in bringing Carlos Tevez to Santiago Bernabeu.

Manchester City is eager to lose Carlos Tevez in order to make room for Robin van Persie. The Flying Dutchman of England has been in superb form for the last two seasons. Due to his impressive form, Robin van Persie has attracted a lot of interest from top notch clubs around Europe. Clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in signing him.

Nonetheless, Manchester City and Juventus are the only clubs willing to break their banks for Robin van Persie. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has accepted the possibility of losing his skipper and top gun from last season. Arsene Wenger has signed in Lukas Podolski and Oliver Giroud as backups for Robin van Persie.

Manchester City is bound by FA’s financial fair play regulations this season. This is why the mega-rich club hasn’t signed in players this season. Manchester City can only sign in players if they cut down on their wages and make space within their squad. Moreover, Manchester City will have to use funds from their transfers to sign in players.

This is why Manchester City is intent upon offloading Carlos Tevez even though the Argentinean offered an olive branch to manager Roberto Mancini last year after their notorious bust up.

Carlos Tevez is enjoying a weekly salary of £198,000 with Manchester City. Manager Roberto Mancini is eager to cut down on the wages so that a bid for Robin van Persie can be prepared. Meanwhile, Robin van Persie had demanded a weekly wage of £200,000-plus. Roberto Mancini has accepted Robin van Persie’s demands although he still has to figure how he can accumulate such funds for the Arsenal captain.

If Manchester City fails to sign in Robin van Persie, Juventus will happily swoop in for the 29-year-old Netherlands international. Juventus has been closely eyeing the proceedings between Robin van Persie and Manchester City for weeks now. The Serie A winners from last season are planning on strengthening their attack. Signing in Robin van Persie would give their attack a huge boost.
