Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will go hunting for defender during the winter transfer window. A severe injury crisis has plagued Manchester United’s defense for months now.
 
Sir Alex Ferguson has already lined up a couple of potential transfer moves for January. The Scotsman is showing a lot of interest in bringing Borussia Dortmund center back Neven Subotic to Old Trafford, but the Serbian international is expected remain loyal to his German side.
 
Recent reports reveal that Sir Alex Ferguson has set his eyes on another transfer target. Nordsjælland defender Jores Okore is being dubbed as the latest arrival at Manchester United. The Denmark international has been given the green light to make a switch by Nordsjælland.
 
Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are battling for the rights to Jores Okore, is however Manchester United is currently leading race. Jores Okore’s agent recently revealed that he is “waiting for an offer” from Manchester United this winter.
 
Jores Okore, 20, is widely considered to be one of the rising young talents in the world. The defender has already established himself as a first starter for club and country.
 
Chelsea is rivaling Manchester United for the rights to Jores Okore, who can be picked up for as little as £5 million even though his contract with Nordsjælland runs into 2016.
 
With Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones bearing extensions on their return date to Manchester United’s squad. Sir Alex Ferguson understands that he needs to strengthen Manchester United’s back line.
 
Nemanja Vidic has barely played for Manchester United in a year or so. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have been out of form and condition as well. Due to their absence Manchester United has conceded 13 goals in only nine Premier League games this season.
 
Jores Okore is played in his fourth season for Nordsjælland. The Ivory Coast born has already helped Nordsjælland win the domestic league and was crucial part team that took Nordsjælland for Champions League actions this year.
 
Reportedly, Manchester United’s first bid will be on the Borussia Dortmund star Neven Subotic, but in case their bid falls apart, which is most likely to happen, Manchester United will turn their attention towards Jores Okore.
 
Jores Okore has appeared in 58 games for Nordsjælland and four games for Denmark.
